Are you outside the room?

Do you feel it's quiet out there?
Do you feel like you’re not talking about enough new opportunities?
It could be because you’re not in the conversation.
Because those conversations are happening.
Behind closed doors, deals are being done.
Behind those doors people are speaking about projects and contracts you’d be IDEAL for.
But you can’t hear them.
It’s quiet.
It’s cause you’re not there to hear them.
You’re not in those rooms.
The rooms where deals are being done and money is being made.
Would you like to get INSIDE those rooms?
There are a few ways to get INSIDE.
You could WAIT to be ALLOWED in...
Like a good girl or boy, you could wait outside the room hoping to let me in.
Sitting there wondering what you’d need to do or say to be ALLOWED through the door.
Won’t it be exciting when they open the door?
How very appropriate of you…
But there are OTHER ways.
Forget 'waiting', forget ‘allowed’, and discard ‘appropriate’.
They probably weren’t serving you anyway.
You could BREAK down the door in an explosion of wood shards and confidently step through the hole.
You could SMASH through the window, Kung Fu Style, surprising everyone with your extreme agility.
OR you could CRASH through the ceiling, hopefully avoiding the prospects in the process.
They can’t ignore you now!
Dramatic!
But I bet for some of you it’s NOT about HOW to get through the door.
Cause you can always just turn the handle and step inside. (KISS)
For most, there are usually two challenges to getting inside the room.
Let’s deal with the second one first.
If you want to help people with your experience and expertise you need to remove the chip from your shoulder.
Cause it’s not about you.
What has happened to you in the past is not a story that supports your client now.
If you’re good at what you do, put all other beliefs to the side and step up to help.
And if you’re not good enough yet…then improve.
Now for the second.
Where are these rooms?
They are everywhere.
So what are you going to do about it?
Will you ask or wait to be shown?
Most people don’t know where these rooms are.
Because they haven’t looked and they haven’t asked.
Because they didn’t know.
But now YOU know.
So what are you going to do?
Some of the best don’t wait to be asked, they simply build the room and invite others in.
There are so many options
And so many opportunities.
If you wish you had more opportunities.
If it’s quiet for you right now.
It may be because you’re busy talking to yourself.
Stay Passionate!
