When I travelled the world I needed to money quick so that I could continue my travels, fruit picking was a nightmare, so I landed a job working on a battery pig farm…
Yep you're probably quick to judge, but if you eat meat, you're not in a position to do so…??
When I first started, I was horrified…
I had to go round ripping teeth out of baby piglets mouths and cutting their tales off…no aesthetic, I wore ear plugs just to block out the screaming...??
Because, when pigs are kept in extremely confined conditions in darkness they get bored so they start eating each other…true story…
On my first day I nearly passed out, I was overwhelmed with what I was now faced with as my 'job'…??
I was surrounded by people that were going through each crate like robots, blood and teeth everywhere, picking up the screaming babies and throwing them back down on the ground like rag dolls…
Soon enough it became pretty easy to stumble crate to crate, hands dripping in blood, oblivious to the distress of the animals…
And it was EASY to justify it because everyone else was doing it, so it must be OK right?
I saw animals kicked, beaten and terrified…
They were locked in the dark so long that when they saw a spot of sunlight on the floor they became afraid of stepping over it because they didn't know what it was…
And, I am ashamed to admit I was there and that I worked on that farm and for the most part, felt nothing…??
But as I write this post, I'm in tears…and I am happy to say I am now a proud veggie and will never go back to meat again ??
But it's surprising how EASY it is to go along with something, just because everyone else is doing it…
It's so easy to eat the shit food, smoke the cigarettes, gain weight year on year, because everyone else is doing it too…
It's so easy to be one of the sheeple…but at the end of the day, sheeple eventually end up in a metaphorical battery farm…
Your health suffers, you suffer and you'll die young because of it.
So I'm curious, are you one of the sheeple or are you someone else? ??????
