You Need A Minimum VIABL?Product?

You Need A Minimum VIABL?Product?

And This Is Why.

You can find the original article (and more) here.

TL;DR: Don’t waste time assembling a full development team with the hopes of creating a polished app. Save time and money with a Minimum Viabl Product?

You have this amazing idea for an app.

You’ve been sitting on it for way too long and, after what seems like an eternity, you might just have enough money saved. You’re tired of talking about it, your friends are tired of hearing about it, and you’re finally ready to do something about it.

What do you do first?

1. Pitch it to investors?

That’s one possibility. Like countless others, you could start by putting together a pitch deck. After all, isn’t this the only way to convince others to give you money for the development of the app?

Downside: You don’t actually have anything to show. No users. No numbers. Just a bunch of slides and made up charts that show typical hockey stick growth and an ROI that is too good to be true.

2. Hire a development team?

This seems like an obvious next step. How else could you possibly build the app without a team of people who know what they’re doing?

Downside: Even if you can find a capable team, are you sure there is a significant need for your app. The biggest mistake is wasting time and money on building something no one actually wants.

3. Learn to code?

Hey, you’re a go-getter! How hard could it possibly be? You’ll devote a few months to the basics, learning just enough to get something rough built. After that, you’ll get someone else to help you.

Downside: As we all know, time is ticking. Every minute you spend doing something you could delegate to someone else is time that you’ll never get back. Remember, there’s a good chance someone else in the world is building your app as we speak.

I know what you’re thinking:

“If the above options aren’t going to cut it, what the hell am I supposed to do?!”

I’m glad you asked.

Allow me to introduce: the Minimum Viabl Product? — the quickest, most affordable way to create the first version of your app, brought to you by Viabl.

You’ve probably heard of a minimum viable product, made famous by Eric Ries and his book, The Lean Startup. In case you haven’t, here is a fairly straightforward definition from Ries himself:

A Minimum Viable Product is that version of a new product which allows a team to collect the maximum amount of validated learning about customers with the least effort.

The key here is to make something that gives you the greatest amount of learning for the least amount of effort. Imagine creating this type of product faster than ever before.

This is where the Minimum Viabl Product? comes in.

Thanks to our Castle? development framework, we can save time during the development process by generating code specifically made for your app. Think of it as a Squarespace for web and mobile apps.

Not only will you save massive amounts of time and money, you’ll also have a fully-functional minimum viable product that can handle real users. As many of us have already learned, this is where the magic happens.
