You Need to Focus

Bill Gates and Warren Buffett are two very successful people that earned their wealth and fame in different industries, they have an age difference of almost 30 years, and they started their work on opposite coasts. Despite this, however, they both came to the same conclusion when thinking about the answer to the question asked.

When you think about it, there seems to be no other right answer. Usain Bolt, Michael Phelps, David Garrett, Winston Churchill have/had pretty short to-do lists at the most successful parts of their careers. When your to-do list only says “run,” “swim,” “play violin,” or “win the war” and you have 24 hours of the day to fill, you tend to become good at what you do. You become the best in the world. People that are less successful than other people simply haven’t put in the same time and effort. That is the case in a majority of situations.

Business that are built on sound principles, have a well defined strategy, and a needed product or service succeed ten out of ten times. They may come across difficult moments, but they ride out on top in the end.The “official” statistic, however, is that nine out of ten businesses close up shop. Why is that?

The problem is that the owners usually get worn thin on a variety of tasks that command their day. They think about a pretty website, an interesting blog, a consistent YouTube channel, trying to get the press’ attention, and last of all about the needs of their clients. The solution is just as simple as the two billionaires put it. First and foremost, you need to focus.

When your main objective is to make some select aspect of your clients’ life better, you will notice that you will have clients. It will happen despite your simple website, basic social media involvement, and being new in the market. Your clients will come to you because your service or product simply is the best.

Love this article! It’s so easy to get distracted by things that seem important in the moment, and lose focus on what really matters. Thanks for posting!
