Last week, in school, I taught the children the game “Follow My Leader”. In this activity, one child takes the role of the leader, guiding the group with various actions and movements, while the others follow and mimic the leader’s behaviour. Each child had a turn to be both a leader and a follower, providing a well-rounded experience.
After the game, we gathered for circle time to reflect on our experiences. It was intriguing to see how the children responded to their roles. Some thrived in leadership, waiting for and supporting their team, while others eagerly ran ahead or struggled with generating ideas and leading effectively. The exercise highlighted different aspects of teamwork, leadership, and adaptability, revealing that not everyone found it easy to be in either role.?
I play this game frequently with children as it greatly benefits their personal development. It teaches them valuable life skills, builds confidence, and encourages teamwork.
Which role would you prefer if you played this game?

“Flexibility is the art of life and living”
Life is constantly changing, and so is our health. We need routines and strategies, however, we also need to learn to adapt, stress-free.?
The distractions of life, and in life, are increasing.
We think more and sleep less, so again I reiterate: “slow living“ is a great tool to stabilise ourselves until the heat of Summer comes and slows us down!
The four seasons enable us to transform and rebalance ourselves.
Nature’s changing energy also heals us.?
The outside, seasonal, affects the inside we too need to transform seasonally to enjoy the benefits of the natural flow of living. Ideally but possible.
Summer is the season of Joy: in Chinese medicine philosophy.
Warmth slows us down physically.
Be aware of yourself. How you are feeling. What you need not just what you want.
How do you feel? It changes each day…
Take some time…to know yourself.
Be kind to yourself.
Allow life to guide you, too.
Be aware. Feel your emotions. See your day’s opportunities.
Be flexible in your self-driven aspirations.
Just as our bodies need to rest and relax, as well as be active and challenged, flexibility is the key to flow in mind and body.
Be kind to yourself.
We set our goals, however you may not have set the best for yourself.
Allow life, also, to guide you.
Be flexible in your self-aspirations.
Just as our bodies need to rest and relax, as well as be active and challenged: flexibility is the key to flow in mind and body.
Be kind to yourself. all things find their ‘time’.
Time. The right time.

Often, we forget the “flow” of life, in ourselves, and “push” too hard, too long.
Do you think that would work better? Ask yourself.
If so that’s fine. If not..be flexible.
Look after yourself by knowing yourself.?
PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE.
SUMMER Solstice IS coming: the longest day of the year. Summer will be with us, though remember, we then head towards Winter.
So. Enjoy what you can each day

?The Artist Living in the Shadows ??
"Brutalism is an architectural style of the 1950s and 1960s characterised by simple, block-like forms and raw concrete construction The term was coined by the British architectural critic Reyner Banham to describe the approach to building particularly associated with the architects Peter and Alison Smithson in the 1950s and 1960s.
The term originates from the use, by the pioneer modern architect and painter?Le Corbusier, of ‘beton brut’ – raw concrete in French. Banham gave the French word a punning twist to express the general horror with which this concrete architecture was greeted in Britain.
Typical examples of brutalism are the Hayward Gallery and National Theatre on London’s South Bank. The term brutalism has also sometimes been used to describe the work of artists influenced by?art brut" -The Tate

It was fun helping out at the Rosamund Community Garden stand during the first “Guildford Green Day”. This week, I’m excited to take my school's “Eco Club” on an outing to the garden. The students will have the opportunity to explore the garden, learn about sustainable practices, and contribute to our ongoing efforts to promote environmental awareness.
