You Must Empty Your CUP
Empty your cup if you want it to be filled again, It is very simple to say but very difficult to apply.
These days you see people are full of pride and egos and they believe they know everything..
I learned from one my teacher that above every knower there is a
knower.
One day he was giving a lecture and at the same time
making a cup of coffee, he was filling the cup and overfilling it and at
the same time
talking to a few students, one of them said to him that the cup is full what are you doing..
He look at the student and smiled, he said that is a reflection of who you are.
You are too full to be here, you already know too much.
Everyone went quiet and i was thinking to myself how did that
one student got the courage to even say this to the teacher.
The Lesson here is to always remain the student and stay humbled,
no matter how much you think you know, there's always someone
that knows more than you..
Don't let pride and arrogance prevent you from gaining knowledge.
Back in the days, students use to stand up in class to respect their teacher, sadly these days a lot are full of pride and egos.
If you think deeper you will see that
The rain that falls from the sky can grow crops on a fertile land where
as if the land is infertile no matter how much rain falls nothing will grow.
The same applies for knowledge, knowledge is like light that enters
the heart, some may say that they have knowledge, you may gain
knowledge but not wisdom.
Knowledge of taste is different than knowledge of paper.
