You must be the change you wish to see in the world (Mahatma Gandhi)

Many people talk about change, we talk about great visions and dreams about a better future, leaders often talk and share their breakthrough ideas on how the world could be a better place. Sometimes I wonder if more "talking leaders" is what we really need...

Change cannot be mandated, instructed or demanded because it comes from within. We cannot change others, we can only change ourselves.

There is talking, but more importantly there is doing, there should be integrity, authenticity and consistency between what we talk about and who we really are, how we behave -specially under pressure- and how we make others feel.

What we do, and we chose not to do defines who we are more than our words.

If we truly want a better world, and we want change, we need to start with us, with a thorough check of our actions Vs what we want to be or pretend to be.

Change is contagious, when we are in contact with people that are authentic we will probably be inspired to change, this is how big change happens, one by one.

Mucha gente habla del cambio, hablamos de grandes visiones y sue?os, de un futuro mejor, nuestros líderes frecuentemente hablan y comparten ideas revolucionarias de cómo el mundo puede ser un mejor lugar. A veces me pregunto si lo que necesitamos realmente son mas líderes hablando...

El cambio no se puede mandar, darse como una instrucción o exigirse a otros, porque el cambio viene de dentro. No podemos cambiar a otros, solo podemos cambiarnos a nosotros mismos.

Hay palabras, pero mas importante, hay hechos, debe haber integridad, autenticidad y consistencia entre lo que decimos y lo que realmente somos, cómo nos comportamos -especialmente bajo presión- y cómo hacemos sentir a otros.

Lo que hacemos y dejamos de hacer nos define mucho mas que nuestras palabras.

Si de verdad queremos un mundo mejor, y queremos un cambio, necesitamos empezar por nosotros mismos, con una revisión profunda de nuestras acciones en comparación con quien queremos o pretendemos ser.

El cambio es contagioso, cuando estamos en presencia de personas que son auténticas, probablemente nos sentiremos inspirados a cambiar, así es como se dan los grandes cambios, uno por uno.
