Are you a Multiplier or a Diminisher??

Are you a Multiplier or a Diminisher??

Great leaders aren’t just “nice.” They’re effective, and that requires courageous leadership traits.???

Ahead of our Multipliers masterclass in February 2025, know that Liz Wiseman in her book “Multipliers” says it should be challenging but exhilarating to work for a Multiplier leader.??

These types of leaders get the most out of their team by doing things like:??

trusting them with challenging and difficult projects, valuing their input, empowering them, trusting them to get on with their work, giving them opportunities, hearing their ideas, pushing them out of their comfort zone, believing in them.??

Diminisher leaders, on the other hand, wreck motivation by:??

micromanaging, shutting ideas down, not listening, taking credit, blaming the team, not trusting, pointing out mistakes publicly, rescuing, and seeing potential and doing nothing.??

REFLECT:??

Which of the two types of leaders do you most relate to? What about leaders on your team??

TAKE ACTION:??

Discuss the traits of Multiplier and Diminisher leaders.? Increase the number of Multiplier moments in your day, and reducing the number of Diminisher ones.?

BE INSPIRED:??

“It isn’t just how intelligent your team members are; it is how much of that intelligence you can draw out and put to use.” Liz Wiseman , Multipliers?

I love the concept of the multiplier and the behaviours Liz shares distinguishing one from the other. I’ve had my fair share of diminishing leadership behaviours, personally and through others. No matter where we find ourselves, when we know better, we can do better.
