You might be surprised which travel destinations still criminalize homosexuality

Millions of LGBTQ travelers worldwide have an extra factor to consider when booking a vacation: Will they be safe at the destination?

There are dozens of countries that still criminalize homosexuality — and several of them rely heavily on travel and tourism.

A 2021 report from nonprofit Open for Business showed that Caribbean nations outlawing homosexuality saw their GDP hit by up to 5.7% and lost the tourist industry $423 million to $689 million annually.

Such countries self evidently are not pro free thought and personal freedom and dangerous destinations! I would rather explore my own country at a lesser cost and friendlier ambiance!

Some people might like to go to those destinations EXACTLY because of their conservative laws on the matter.
