You Might Be Invisible in Business. Here's How to Get Noticed...

Especially during the pandemic, people have started going to the internet for all their needs — and that includes finding their financial advisor. This means that you, as an amazing financial professional, need to stand out and attract them, right?
But the internet is big and algorithms are confusing. . .?
How do you make sure you are both visible and attracting the right clients?
That’s why I had Henriette Danel on the most recent episode of Growing Your Financial Business… The Woman’s Way. Like me, she’s a business coach, but she’s based out of the UK and focuses on a larger audience of service-based female entrepreneurs. In the interview, we talk about a variety of strategies to simplify your business and attract ideal clients, but I particularly liked Henriette’s advice for social media.
Start Small
Think of getting the right people to pay attention to you as your “visibility strategy.” Now picture a pyramid. Your website is the very base of that pyramid. While social media and blogs will change from week to week, your website should be where prospects can get a well-rounded idea of who you are and what you offer as a financial professional.
Henriette warns not to hide behind your website, though! You need to put yourself somewhere that prospects can easily find you.
Okay. . . but where?

There are so many social media sites that it would be totally overwhelming to manage all of them. And I’m sure you’re thinking about compliance.
But just because you have to deal with compliance, it does not mean that you should just forego social media.
You need an online presence, even if you do have to jump through some hoops.
Just choose one or two platforms where your ideal clients hang out and focus on those. Targeting recent retirees? Then maybe focus on Facebook. Looking for Gen-Z professionals? Then explore the rapid-fire content on TikTok.
I’ve talked about how to write your own copy and get it through compliance in an earlier episode, but you might not even need to worry about it for social media! In our conversation, Henriette and I discuss just how important your personality is to your business. Even pictures of your puppy or your sourdough loaf can endear you to prospects and make them want to work with you. Not sure how? We dive much deeper into how your personal accounts can really boost your business in the episode.
Now You See Me, Now You. . . Work with Me?
There is so much information packed into this episode, and Henriette systematizes how you should approach and interact on social media. Just to give a taste, let me ask you: have you ever thought about Facebook Live as a speaking engagement? Or do you really know what it means to “package” your services? Have you ever considered starting your own podcast? We manage to cover all of this in the latest episode of Growing Your Financial Business… The Woman’s Way.
If you want to learn how to simply and effectively turn prospects into clients (without leaving your desk), then this episode is the crash course you’ve been looking for! Tune in here.
