YOU MATTER MOVEMENT!
It has been a while. I am excited about an event that my family banded together to do…
A long time ago I created a non-profit organization called Works Unlimited. The focus is on the children - in fact we proudly stand on Proverbs 22:6 (Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it - KJV). Well, we had been dormant for a while, but those times have changed. It is time to stand-up and make a difference.
So yesterday we stood up! We put together some care packages that contained – a blanket, gloves, hat, socks, backpack, tissues, tooth brush/paste, mouth wash, shaving razor, deodorant, Vaseline, hair comb, body lotion, body wipes, hand sanitizers, soap, and hand warmers. We also gave lunch sacks that had a turkey and cheese sandwich, a bag of chips, a pack of cookies, an apple, an orange, and a bottle of water.
Okay, now it’s up to you – we need your help. We are starting the “You Matter” movement! We want everyone, who can, to reach out and help someone in need – let them know that “YOU MATTER.” And hey, if time is an issue, we are here for you. Honestly though, there is nothing like the joy you’ll receive from physically going out and helping those in need. So let’s do it, let’s work together to let them know – “YOU MATTER.”

6 年Thanks for sharing, this is inspiring. My church has a ministry to help the homeless. We has a coat, hats, sock and glove drive to for the homeless for the cold winter months.?It's?was a success . Teaching them skills to empower themselves to change their situation and environment

6 年Hello John, On this past Saturday, two churches in the local area joined together and delivered 33 gift bags and prayer to residents in a subsidized housing community. Our plans are to continue this initiative. Thanks for sharing what your non-profit organization is doing.
