You Are The Man (or Woman) in The Arena

You may not be aware of the above speech that Theodore Roosevelt gave back in 1910 - I certainly wasn't aware of its origins although I had associated it with the British and Irish Lions Rugby Tour that Sir Ian McGeechan led.
I am sure over the past 12 months or so we have all felt like the man whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood (well figuratively anyway...) and yet we are still here. In many ways we have all been men or women, in the arena.
"There is no effort without error". That line really resonates and whether your effort is homeschooling or keeping your business afloat one day more, nevertheless you are still in the arena. And that is something to be proud of.
So, when business seem too tough to carry on or you feel you're failing your kids' home schooling efforts, quieten your internal critic, the voice that creeps up when you least expect it to pull you down, and read the speech above. It certainly gives me strength.
Matchmaker of marketing talent with great opportunities
