Are you making this common leadership mistake?
Welcome to the Weekly Spotlight!
Fear may be lurking in your workplace, and it could be more costly than you think.?
A recent study conducted by experienced executive leadership coach Margot Franci has revealed that fear-filled workplace environments might be costing small businesses £10,000 annually `and the UK economy a staggering £2.2 billion!
These "fearful leaders" are undermining their teams' confidence, with 48% of them admitting they don't trust their teams to handle situations as they arise. This lack of trust and the fear-driven environment is costing businesses in lost productivity.
It's not just leaders who suffer; fearful leadership also affects the way employees are managed. Around 45% of employees are unwilling to provide feedback to their managers, and a third experience micromanagement regularly. Further, 15% regularly experience anxiety or nerves around work.
So, what can you, as a business owner, do about this? It starts with recognising the presence of fear in your leadership style and taking steps to break the cycle. A workplace free from fear fosters creativity, innovation, and better results.
Are you unintentionally creating an environment of fear within your business?

8 Ways To Improve Employee Experience
Today’s workforce is changing…
In their 2017 Global Human Capital Trends Report, Deloitte estimated that nearly 80% of employees rated the employee experience as very important, whilst only 22% reported that their company were delivering a differentiated employee experience.
In reality, today’s business owners find themselves faced with a new paradigm where a productive, positive employee experience is the new contract between employer and employee.
Whilst many companies are only just waking up to this challenge, what is already clear is that in order to remain competitive in attracting and retaining skilled employees, it is now critical for companies to both understand and improve their employee experience.

Why Failure to Take Action Leads to Failure Itself
Whether you're at the start of your entrepreneurial journey or already well on your way, the challenges associated with building a profitable and sustainable business, irrespective of the industry sector, are often considerable.?
At the heart of every entrepreneur's start-up dream is the old quote that simply states….
"Failure is not an option" and yet why is it that so many fail to realise their full potential?
All too often entrepreneurs start their journey without real clarity as to their DESTINATION. Similarly, many entrepreneurs rapidly lose sight of and/or forget not only where they were heading but more importantly WHY they were heading there in the first place.?
As the phrase goes… “if you don’t know where you are heading, how will you know when you’ve got there”
Ironically - very few entrepreneurs would dream of building a house without a detailed set of plans drawn up without the help of an expert and yet why is it so few entrepreneurs (a) have any sort of written plan and (b) any sort of plan compiled with the help of someone more experienced than themselves?
As always, if you have any questions please don't hesitate to get in touch with one of the team.
Best Wishes,?
