YOU Make The Difference

YOU Make The Difference

YOU make the difference in the life of a child. Characters of Character is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in Illinois and in Tennessee whose mission is to provide a firm foundation for children to establish strong civic values. This is accomplished through our character building classes, our published books, our videos and the discussions that we have with children and their families.

Our 2020 Vision continues as we donate our Superhero Activity Boxes to children in the hospital. They are appreciated, they are engaging and they are empowering our children in a way one could never have thought of. Each box is colorful, sturdy and comes complete with a Superhero activity book, watercolor paints, paint brush, crayons, a canvas to paint, "I AM SUPER" an easel to display the canvas, stickers, a superhero mask, a character lanyard and a hand written letter from one of the Characters of Character to encourage them on their well being.

As 2020 begins to unfold in ways one could never imagine, we will continue the above mission and have added another. We are donating to the Sumner County Library in Hendersonville, Tennessee. The library has embraced our character Self-Esteem Elephant and we have already donated to the library our Bulletin Boards and other activities to do with the community to help build confidence and self-esteem in our children. For as you can imagine, when a child is confident their mindset grows and they engage in learning and becoming role models as they find their place in the world. These boxes are just like the same with the message of 'I LIKE ME' which is also what we donated to Shriner's Hospital in Chicago late last year. The families and the children engaged in the message, in painting the character and also got to meet Self-Esteem Elephant!

With libraries beginning to open up, with schools on the fence as to what the fall will look like and with families struggling to build their children's confidence in the future. Self-Esteem Elephant and the Characters of Character are providing resources to help put the message in place through the library.

What we are asking from you is a donation. Our cost is $20.00 to fulfill an activity box to mail out. When we donate to our local communities in Illinois we are able to bring the character to drop these off, and once we are in Tennessee the characters will do the same! Until then, we will be mailing the boxes. If you are a business, a corporation or a philanthropist, please consider a larger donation to the library project. Here are what we are offering for the larger donations:

Below are the details concerning this year's sponsorship levels:
