Viewing someone's profile without them knowing
With a free account you may not care if you have your visibility set to Private (as in someone can't see that you have looked at their profile) and so looking at profiles activity is easy.
This little hack helps you maybe streamline the process by having a Folder on your Chrome Tool Bar for Competitor Activity or just Bookmarking. It certainly makes it easier to organise the saved Folder into Clients, Prospects and Competitors or what ever suits your criteria.
?? I tend to stick with these and I also have a weekly one where I will drag and drop interesting profile s into as it forces me to view and clear at the end of the week. ??
This is a simple Hack and easily done, big thanks to Stephen Quinn for letting me use him as an example of links, he's a top bloke.
??View your own Activity
?? Replace your name with the personal URL of the person you are viewing
?? Hit return and you are there in their Activity then simply save the URL into a folder or simply Bookmark.
Hold On...I have no idea of what my prospects URL is

We have two profiles, the main LinkedIn online version and the PUBLIC profile. The offline version of your profile. ? A quick reminder here to look at what you have Visible on your Public Profile, click here to change ? https://www.dhirubhai.net/public-profile/settings
Type in the persons name and LinkedIn and look at results, make sure you are not logged into LinkedIn or use an incognito search window.
There are ton of Stephen Quinn's, hard to believe but there are, so a quick search down the list soon reveals which one is Stephen. I know he is in the Arab Emirates and know he likes David Bowie, job done.
?? You could simply go to that person's Web page and click the link to view their LinkedIn profile, most people have this on their web pages.
?? A simple way to view someones Activity without them knowing you have viewed their profile. Great for pre meeting research, prospecting and generally being nosy ?
?? Just to add that if you have a premium account and you are in Private mode then you can still see who has viewed your profile in case you were not aware of this.
?? Hope this has been helpful, I want to keep these short and happy to listen to suggestions for future Views Letters.
