If you listen, you will learn

I'm a nerd in my head, I'd like to think that I'm a leader in my heart but sitting between those descriptions is the realization that it is always most important to listen and learn. We have two ears and one mouth, they should be used in that proportion. Listen twice as much as you talk.

I always have, and always will, keep written daily journals in my trusty Composition Books. I have stacks of these from over the years and there are dozens that I've filled while building Green Check Verified, Inc. that tell a great story. Books and books filled with daily tasks, calls, meetings, ideas (some good, some I'm glad we never pursued) but the special entries are the lessons I've learned every day from our amazing customers, our supportive investors and advisors but most importantly the brilliant team of people that I get to work with every day. These colleagues, collaborators, and all whom I consider friends, have filled my notebooks with special notes all denoted with big STARS. Their ideas, their words, their thoughts, their passions are what has enabled us as a team to build what we have today.

As I close each month, I go back and look at the starred notes and always marvel at how much we have learned and accomplished together so thank you!!
