YOU ARE a LIMITLESS failure! Now embrace it.

(Listening to?Small Memory by Jon Hopkins)

When you walk around the streets each day what do you see? Do you see lovers holding hands? Do you see well-dressed business people making their way somewhere important? Do you see young people laughing as though they’re having the time of their lives?

Or maybe you see someone looking low, possibly thinking that their life may as well end? Maybe that someone is you. Or maybe like me you’ve just lost your family for the second time.

We all reside somewhere within a spectrum of joy and sheer despair, and in life, it’s perfectly normal to waver between the?two.

To fail is to try, and to try means something special

There are two things that I know for sure; one is that failure can rattle you so deeply, that at the worst of times, it feels like life is no longer worth living. The second thing I know for sure is that if you’ve failed at anything, you’ve attempted something.

See, to attempt anything in life is to act out of courage. So if you’ve failed at something, anything at all, you my dear have courage.?

It might just be an ounce of courage, like a mouse preparing to dash across a kitchen floor for what might be the last time, or it might be the courage of a lion preparing for battle.

However much it might be, it’s something, and just the idea that you, YES YOU, have even an ounce of courage within you should be enough for you to laugh in the face of any failure that you’ve ever experienced or any future failure that might await you the very next time you feel the urge to act upon that courage.

(Listening to?Dream within a Dream by Obay Alsharani)

Who are we?really?

You know, much of what we see on the streets or on social media each day that looks like success or happiness is either, material or momentary. Much of it is also just downright fake.

When we see such signals, we don’t just feel a sense of longing or envy, we also tend to feel the gut-wrenching reminder of our very own failures, continually haunting us.

But you are an infinite being, with unlimited potential just sitting there inside of you.

Something deep down inside of you already knows that if you were to finally have that thing, person, or feeling that you crave so much, eventually you’d still feel a little bit of emptiness inside, as though something was missing, like an unquenched thirst.

Why do we feel like something is missing within hours of attaining something we've longed for?

It’s hard to know exactly why, but what I feel deep inside is that the people that others envy most in life aren’t those with the most money, best looks, amazing homes, or sports cars.?

The people that others truly envy most are those with the most courage.?

Because, unlike those who try to appeal to us through the showing off of external, material items, of limited essence and potential, people with courage appeal to us with something that we all intrinsically already know is inside each and every one of us.?

It might be buried deep within some of us, but for every single one of us, courage is already there, waiting and ready to be redeployed.

(Listening to?Nothing It Can by Helios)

We are beings of limitless potential and?courage

Think about it for a minute!?

Have you ever seen Lord of the Rings and found yourself feeling a strange kind of inspired like little butterflies are fluttering around in your belly, helping you to kindle a deep sort of empathy for Frodo and co, that have you feeling like you’re up for the fight, that have you feeling like you’re really there?

Or maybe you’re a fan of Gladiator and like me, you get goosebumps every time Maximus enters the arena.

Those right there are signs that your inner courage is being aroused. Gently whispering to let you know it’s there, waiting and ready to be redeployed.

See, nobody actually wants to be a Roman Gladiator just living to fight one last time, or a Hobbit trekking through a hostile land while being chased by an army, no matter how cool it would be to have a wizard on your side.

The reason these films appeal to us so much is that when we watch them, we’re watching characters with seemingly unlimited amounts of courage at their beck and call, courage that seems to be contagious.

We seem to sit in envy of these incredible heroes on our movie screens, yet they have none of the material items that we tend to imagine inspires us.?

What they do have is the same thing that we all have access to, COURAGE!

It radiates off the screen! We can see it and feel it whenever we watch them and despite their dire chances of success, we’re willing to see them try and possibly even fail, just like we do. Because it’s not success that inspires us, it’s effort and the courage to act that inspires us most!

And so?

My friend, today you failed, you failed to win a game, to win that job, to win the hand of the man or woman you love…

But my friend, today you also succeeded, in deploying your courage and giving something a shot, maybe even your best shot, even if that something was never meant to be.?

Today you awoke and used something inside of you that if used more often, could have a profound and lasting impact on your life as well as the lives of your loved ones. You used your courage, and for that, I say bravo.
