Are you Leveraging Video? (3 Pro Tips)
I ?? video. What’s not to love? Modern video has the capacity to distill complex ideas into digestible, engaging segments, convey the desired tone, and has infinitely scalable distribution.
Video has the ability to forge a deep, authentic connection with viewers. In fact our reptile brain can’t distinguish between spending real time with someone vs spending digital time with them… both influence whether or not we trust the person communicating.
This is why video has the capacity to position you as a thought leader within your niche. By sharing valuable domain knowledge, personal insights, and expertise, you establish yourself as a trusted authority, garnering respect and admiration from peers and followers alike.
If you are in leadership, you can imagine how that this type of influence greases the progress machine on which we endlessly tinker.
Platforms like YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok get most of the attention when it comes to video, but LinkedIn has an insane amount of video potential. I personally have seen more than a 300% increase in conversations in LinkedIn when I regularly post short videos (ask me about this... happy to chat).
Are you planning to leverage video content to build influence in 2024?
Here are three pro tips:

1 - Focus on increasing the value of your content ideas – a general rule is; if you struggled and learned something, be vulnerable and tell all about the struggle (the more dirty details the better), and tell about what you learned. Others are going through this and need to hear from you.
2 - Create and publish consistently – it’s easy to fall off ( I certainly have), but get right back on and keep going. You'll never build up a head of steam unless you just keep going.
3 - Do collaborations with other creators – this is a SUPER cheat code because it increases your exposure exponentially and it generates relationships and opportunities along the way.
4 - BONUS TIP – Pay a good content growth partner to lead you in executing all three of these above. Let's face it, when we pay for something, we take it seriously.
If you want help, we’re taking 3 new clients for our “Story Growth” partnership this April… Comment if you’re interested and we can discuss whether or not it is a good fit.
