Are you letting your Dreams DIE in your journal?

Most dreams die a slow death. They're conceived in a moment of passion, with the prospect of endless possibility, but often languish and are not pursued with the same heartfelt intensity as when first born. Slowly, subtly, a dream becomes elusive and ephemeral. People who've lost their own dreams become pessimists and cynics. They feel like the time and devotion spent on chasing their dreams were wasted. The emotional scars last forever. - Dean Karnazes, Ultramarathon Man: Confessions of an All-Night Runner
You’ve been on my heart and mind this past week and I wanted to share an important message with you which was inspired by my business coach Shanda Sumpter.
I’ve been on this journey of really taking myself on to a whole new level and experimenting with how its unfolding. I’ve also been stretching my clients to do the same.
Quick story. Last year I was in Japan for Spring to experience cherry blossom and committed to doing it again this year. However, reality kicked in with challenges and responsibilities. In other words, life happened. Can you relate?
My dream of going back to Japan this year almost went down the toilet. And what did I do? I had a choice. I was either going to let that dream die in my journal and pretend like nothing happened or reach out for support. I had this CALLING to go and couldn’t deny that that soul calling was nagging at me. Do you know what I mean? Do you have this voice or intuition that’s telling you to do something but you don’t know where to start or how you can pull it off?
I had a choice. I was at a crossroads as we all get to a fork in the road. I choose to reach out for support. Any lone wolves out there? I hear you! I am a recovering lone wolf! ;)
So I reached out to my coach and community to see what was possible and what I can create. What I uncovered was I was able to create a win/win and shifted my mindset to creating and having it all versus feeling like I had to sacrifice my dream to be in the rat race. I got connected and grounded on WHY it was important to me to do it and really stepped into playing to WIN. My pattern in life has been playing NOT to lose or just playing. How many times in YOUR life you either don’t play, just play or play not to lose?
I’ve spoken with dozens of people who simply give up on their dreams and choose to not even play or show up for their dreams. I know that’s NOT you. You are committed. I know this because you’re reading this message. ;) I also know that you have a busy schedule. You may be in a space right now where you’re feeling like a hamster in a hamster wheel going nowhere fast. Are you running the rat race?
Do you have a DREAM and are realizing now that it’s DYING in your journal? Do you even have a journal? Are you allowing yourself to dream again?
This short video will support you. Click here to watch. I share a few simple tips for you so you can allow yourself to dream again.
