You know that phrase "Nothing lasts forever"??

You know that phrase "Nothing lasts forever"?

YOU KNOW THAT PHRASE "NOTHING LASTS FOREVER"?

The universe as we know it today wasn’t born in a light, happy, smiley place.

It came to being in a dark, cold, empty place devoid of colour, humour and matter.

And it wasn’t the result of the accidental bumping together and joining of lots of very small things to create lots of very large ones.

It was more like the aftermath of a sound.

The kind of humming sound that someone makes, absent mindedly, as they’re thinking.

Or the cosmic drumming of fingers, closely followed by the smacking and rubbing together of a pair of all-powerful hands.

It happened in what today’s great scientific minds would probably call a really small bit of a nanosecond, or less.

And it wasn’t anything like a big bang at all.

It was simply God coming to a decision. “Right,” he thought. “Time for another go at this creation lark.”

No records exist to indicate how many previous and unsuccessful attempts at creation there have been.

All we know with any degree of complete uncertainty is that this time, something went right.

Well, in the beginning anyway.

Some speculate that the whole thing took as little as a few days. Others are more than happy to go for the Billions of Bloody Years theory.

Whatever the truth is, one thing is certain. After all the dust had settled and the coughing had stopped, things looked very different.

You know that phrase nothing lasts forever?

The above is an extract of Heaven Help Us.

It’s a book about things that may, or may not, have happened...to people who may, or may not, have lived...in a place that may, or may not, have existed.

It's about the end of the world. Sort of. Well...nearly.

Depending on your point of view.

And if anyone asks, I plead the fifth.

Anyway, you’ll find it right here, at Amazon, in print and e-book, along with my other books, Ad Lib, Ad Hoc, Ad Infinitum, and Love & Coffee...which are nothing like it.

But don't just take my word for it. Take a sneaky peek and take a look at the end of the word (or not) for yourself.

And while you're at it...take a peek at the others, too. If the shit hasn't hit the fan by then...

You’ve touch down this morning on one of my favor subjects. For one thine it has been calculated that the galaxy Andromeda will collide with ours in about 5 billion years or so. What will happen you ask? It’s possible that the lights will turn off. I’m so worried and as you put it. Nothing lasts forever —- Bryce I’m scared ??
