You are invited to a Summer of YOU!

One year ago today, work and life had thoroughly kicked my butt. I was exhausted, frustrated and disappointed with how my year and business was unfolding.?

Fortunately, the pattern was interrupted with a 5 day “off grid” backcountry camping trip that turned out to be the unexpected catalyst to a process of rediscovering myself. Over the next few months something amazing unfolded and it changed how I was feeling, and what I chose to do next.

It wasn’t much of a planned or even considered process, to be honest. It just sort of happened. And it worked.?

I’m craving a refresh of that experience, but this time I’m going to create it on purpose, and I want to invite you along. I'm calling it the Summer of YOU, which really means the summer of us.

It’s an eight-week journey where we will pause, take stock, and challenge ourselves to imagine an exciting finish to 2024, and maybe even a completely different 2025.?(Sign up to receive weekly coaching questions here .)

Here’s what the Summer of YOU is going to look like:?

?Step One: Reset

What I learned last year is how easy it is to wander off our paths when we’re distracted by other people's needs and expectations. I am releasing my need to be a people pleaser, and recognize how this pattern gets in the way of my own clarity and purpose. You relate?

I love teamwork and I get really excited by other people's ideas, often saying yes to opportunities before I've carefully thought them through. But you can’t think anything through when you’re in the thick of it. You need to return to your baseline, your steady-state—the place where the only voice you hear is your own.

When your computer is doing too much, it starts to wobble. Programs fail, tasks take longer than they should, glitches start popping up. What do we do? A hard reset. It’s not as easy for us humans (there’s no on/off button for that as far as I know), but with a little intention and planning, we can get back to clarity.

We’ll discuss what I did to find that beautiful silence again. A silence where I could think clearly and access my inner wisdom and beliefs.

?Step Two: Reconnect

?In that clarity, I started asking myself the important questions: Does this or that opportunity fit with my ideal working life? Does it fit with my strengths? My values? I often tell clients: “Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should.” I had been ignoring that advice. I know, I know. Coach, coach thyself!?

?Answering those important questions reconnected me to me; to my values, my gifts, my ambition. They were there the whole time of course, but felt like I hadn’t seen them in ages.?

?This was the place from which I wanted to be working and creating, and we’ll talk about what you can do to find that place for yourself.?

?Step Three: Reimagine

Our definition of what’s possible changes dramatically when we move from stress and burnout to clarity. Limits are replaced with abundance pretty quick.?

Right now, I’m sure you have a vision of what the rest of this year will be. How different might these next six months look if we imagine them from a place of joyful purpose? This was my favourite part of the process. It was filled with that buzzing energy of creativity and action.?

I re-learned that we are capable of so much more than we allow ourselves to believe and I can’t wait to see what you start to imagine for yourselves.

?Let’s go together

This eight-week journey is free. It’ll include micro-video lessons on practical actions we can take, as well as coaching questions to guide us on our way. We’ll finish with a webinar where we can come together and celebrate rediscovering ourselves.?

I want you make the space for the Summer of YOU. All you need to do is sign up for the Inspired Results Learning Lab newsletter and every Wednesday morning a new micro-lesson or coaching question will drop into your inbox.

It all starts July 2, 2024 and I would love for you to come along for the ride. SIgn up here and join us for the journey!
