Are you a Human Being or Human Looks?

That question is keep haunting me for the last two years since I was asked during a leadership sessions.The questions is a self reflect about our motives in doing what we do at work and even in our life.

If we are do good things with motive to Looks Good in other people perspective, then we are a Human Looks.

We are craving for other people's praise, respect and recognition. We try to create a good image of our selves. Our current culture of selfies and wefies give a boosting tool, encouraging everyone to have looks good self image.

If we are do good things with motive because it is the right thing to do then we are a Human Being. Because we do good things as Being Good, not for Looks Good.

Being Good people will not affected  by what other people perceive. Frankly, it is not easy in current world we live in. In our realm, where all  of us judge by the looks and people tend to comments first without even bother to verify, our self image and reputation become more fragile. Therefore only a free mind and free spirit people able to do good, as being good.

We believe that Being Good people in any workplace will create, promote and endorse good culture, good corporate governance and will focus on the company's long term objectives. On the other hand, Looks Good people, will have a focus on what looks good on them, which can lead to Silo Mentality and short term success. "What's in it for me" in very subtle form.

With that perspective in mind, for the last two years, we have shifted our Talent Acquisition processes more focus on Culture Fit. We recruit for Passion and Legacy, not just for competence and expertise.We believe, it is the right thing to do, to find people that can grow together with the company. Since then, we avoid transactional hirings which only hire to filling vacancies and buy expertise and experiences.

For us, finding a right talent now is a Quest. As any quest, it will not be easy but it is a must, that we do.
