Just think, you come into this world, unable to walk, talk, dress yourself or eat on your own.
A year or two, you begin to walk, speak a few words and have your first taste of independence.
You blink your eyes, and just like that you are coming out of your teenage years and entering adulthood.
You no longer have to rely on your parents to feed and dress you, you are standing on your own two feet, and now have become an adult with responsibilities.
Everyones adulthood is different from others, some have families of their own, others pursue the road of a career, working for themselves, travelling the world and being comfortable in life, others experience unpleasant situations in life. Everyone has different experience in life to others, but it also comes down to the choices an individual makes in their life.
Regardless, if ones situations is good or bad, that individual has a choice how they allow it to interfere with their mindset and happiness.
You see, we are not on this planet for too long, years fly by more so as you get older. I remember being younger and at school and watching the clock tick so as I could get out of school and go home so as I could play out with my friends.
I wanted to grow up and not be a child no more, what a fucking joke that was. What I didn't know back then was to simply live in the present moment of time. Instead, I was going around in circles for several years not knowing what I wanted, what would make me feel happy and the life I wanted, and simply wishing my days to pass by, not fulfilling them the way I should be.
I am now in my forties, I look in the mirror and can see the changes from the outside to what I was; I am more slimmer now than I was in my teens and mid twenties, I look more older, ok no grey hairs yet, apart from a natural blonde streak or a ginger hair, as my dad was fair, yes I am a brunette lol.
Most of my friends are having midlife crisis, I am yet to reach that point, but I can say my feet are firmly on the ground, for now that is and the choice I have made to not allow my age to define me.
Now days, I prefer to concentrate on myself and who I have become; I am no longer that little girl who would look at the clock and wish time would fly by fast.
After suffering from health issues myself and nursing my late father, it has been highlighted more than ever to myself that our journey is short on this earth and I choose to live my life to the max.
I have learned valuable lessons I would like to share with you, when you live your life for yourself and how it makes you think and feel inside:
The moral of the story is, life is too short, do what makes you happy and don't age and live in regret on what you could have done, said instead, do it now and don't look back.
From my own experience I faced many fears I had a long time ago and yes, it is well worth following pursuit. You will feel liberated, happier and live a life without fears restricting your happiness.
