This is a picture of my late father who had no DIY skills and yet became a really successful property developer and renovator. This was his first project and I am sure that many of us will know exactly how my Dad felt. It can be very challenging, sometimes lonely and yet hugely invigorating and rewarding.
Once businesses have been established there will inevitably come a point where the founders / owners will look to monetise their asset and sell the business.
ALJ started in 2011 with a vision and passion to help owners through the maze of selling their businesses. We wanted to offer a different experience to other M&A advisory services and we therefore wanted to move away from the auction style process that is generally preferred in the market.
Fast forward to 2024 and ALJ recently celebrated our 50th successful transaction working primarily on sell side with UK and US businesses. ALJ has achieved this success by working discreetly 'off market' sourcing buyers that can add value and protect the heritage, staff and customers of the original business.
We are glad we took the first steps to 'knock a hole in the wall' and look forward to another 50 transactions over the coming years !!
