You Have a Robot-Proof superpower!

You Have a Robot-Proof superpower!

You have a robot-proof superpower!

My son loves to read about superheroes. And we have fun discussing what superpowers we’d choose. Look, I can’t see through walls, I can’t fly and I have no laser beams. But I do have a secret weapon. And it’s future-proof and robot-proof!

You have one too.

“You need a career, son!”

When I was a kid, my parents told me how important it was to have a “career.” Anything from doctor to accountant to lawyer was ok with them. You see, these were professions that would clearly lead to a career for life. Later, when I was about to go to university, I was told that I needed to learn “hard skills” such as computer technology, data analysis and finance. Then, once I graduated, I was told I needed a range of “certifications and licenses” to show future employers.

But that was then and this is now. The world my parents grew up in is gone forever.

There are no lifelong careers any longer. Certifications mean little compared to experience. And the “hard” skills of business will be taken over by automation, algorithms and artificial intelligence.

Many current jobs will be obsolete in less than a decade. And many of the functions of lawyers, accountants and doctors will be taken over by technology.

But that’s nothing to fear. Because if you are reading this, the chances are that you’re a coach or transitioning into coaching.

And we have a superpower…

You need creativity, not a career!

The high-skill, high-pay jobs of the future are likely to involve skills better measured by EQ (emotional intelligence) than IQ. And the people who will be able to command high fees and high salaries in the future are the ones with this superpower.

Martin Ford is a futurist who explains that the most robot-proof jobs have 3 characteristics:

  1. They involve genuine creativity.
  2. They involve building complex relationships with people.
  3. They are highly unpredictable.

Great coaches are highly creative, they love building complex relationships with people and there is absolutely no predictability in their job from one day to the next.

Great coaches have strong level leadership skills, great communication skills and high emotional intelligence.

And great coaches understand that, in an increasingly high-tech world, being high-touch is one of the last remaining competitive advantages.

If you’d like to build these superpowers to create your very next client, I have a special opportunity for you…

Master the 4Cs of Coaching Excellence.

I’m highly creative. I’m an introvert who loves nothing more than building complex relationships with people. And I’m highly unpredictable because I have a very low threshold for boredom!

So, I am always working hard on ways to support you in building your own superpowers:

  • Are you a great coach because you’re a ‘people-person’ but lack the confidence to put yourself out there?
  • Are you highly creative but wish there was a way to have your dream clients hear about you?
  • And is the unpredictability of creating clients becoming a burden?

What if you could master the 4 skills needed to become truly successful?

Join me in a live coaching masterclass.

Rich Litvin I am a lawyer turned coach and I could not agree more. Was working on legal automation projects before I left. Transitioned out of traditional legal practice as there was little room for creativity. Loved the legal innovation space and now using the creative muscle helping clients to envision and design incredible lives. Obsessed.

Agree! The majority of job roles are out of date the day after the employee signs their contract as business move on, therefore totally agree businesses need creativity and competency first.
