You have an idea but how the hell do you actually bring it to life!

Here's a peek behind the curtain at how I went from dreaming about being a founder to actually building a product!

Like raising a child, it takes a village, a bit of courage, and a lot of "fuck it, what is there to lose?"

Deciding to Take the Plunge:

For five years before joining the founder's program, I always knew I wanted to build my own thing. Watching Wayflyer rocket only fueled that ambition! However, I was very aware of my limitations - lack of technical skills and, honestly, a solid idea.

But then... came Founders! The perfect opportunity to try my hand at building something. I swear they're not paying me to say this, but... I wouldn't be here without it.

Overnight, I suddenly had access to an ecosystem I knew existed but wasn't quite sure how to navigate. Like the new kid at school, I entered it sheepishly, trying to figure everyone out. After a week or so, I found my feet. I wish I could say it was smooth sailing from there.

Quite the opposite... then came the "WHO WILL YOU PARTNER WITH" dilemma! If this was in my hands, I would have been grand... but it's a partnership. The other person must like you too!

After a few weeks of uncertainty, Kingsley and I landed on each other and set sail into the world of Glitch!

But taking that initial leap of faith wasn't easy. It required countless conversations, brainstorming sessions, and a healthy dose of courage. We had to ask ourselves tough questions:

  • Is there a real need for this product?
  • Can we deliver something truly valuable?
  • And most importantly, are we willing to bet everything on this idea?

Listening to Our Customers:

Once we committed to building Glitch, the real work began. But instead of locking ourselves in a room and brainstorming in isolation, we took a different approach. We went straight to the source – our potential customers. We listened to their frustrations, heard their dreams, and took note of their pain points. Every conversation was like adding a puzzle piece to the bigger picture of what Glitch could be. As we gathered more insights, the vision became clearer, and the path forward began to take shape.

From SME owners diving into ads for the first time to marketing gurus juggling multiple domains, their feedback was gold.

They wanted "simplicity, efficiency, and a tool that spoke plain English, not tech jargon."

Building Something Meaningful:

With a solid understanding of our customers' needs, it was time to roll up our sleeves and start building. But instead of rushing into development, we took a deliberate approach. We focused on creating an MVP – that addressed the core needs of our users without unnecessary bells and whistles. It was a lean, mean, ad-creating machine designed to test our assumptions and gather real-world feedback.

Their voices continue shaping Glitch into what it is today.

Real-World Revelations:

But the journey is only just beginning!

Thanks to our incredible testers, supporters, and believers, Glitch is becoming more than just a product – it's a testament to the power of collaboration and dedication. As we continue to grow and evolve, we invite you to join us on this journey, where every glitch is just another opportunity to shine! ????
