YOU HAVE TO GO INSIDE AND FACE YOURSELF

If you want to get more out of your positive thinking or Law of Attraction practice, you can't simply ignore the negative.
In other words, you can't try to pretend that the ' and the ugly' are not a part of your life as it is for everyone else.
What I see with the Law of Attraction is that it's all about positive thinking and forbids anything that addresses what's not desirable or painful.
Well, our lives as artists, entertainers, or performers are within the realm of emotions and feelings.
Whether you are a dancer, sculptor, actor, singer, DJ, model, etc., the aim is to touch others emotionally with your craft.
In order to do this truthfully and with great skill, you'll need to embrace the person you are. What makes each one of us beautiful is not just the pleasurable or fun experiences in life, but also our fears or pain. This allows us to relate to each other and experience compassion; to express an understanding encapsulated with what we call love.
You want to investigate into yourself to see if you focus only on the positive because you are unaware of what's underneath all of that, or if it's more to do with not wanting to face the truthful pain (that is if you're more than just committed to grow beyond your safe 'comfort zone').
I agree, there's a right way and a wrong way to do this; to look at the pain and deal with it. Chances are that the gurus of the Law of Attraction ignore the pain because it's easier for most of us to understand and deal with.
However, if you desire to go out there and not just be a number, you'll have to be more of yourself. The best-known artists are those that seem unique from other artists, even though they are in the same field or profession. Of course, because each one of us IS unique.
And how to be more of yourself if you deny or refuse that particular part of you and not learn to deal with it?
