Demeaning and believing that your HR is “good for nothing” has been a new normal, but HR’s are human too and you need to appreciate, and acknowledge their contribution in making your on-boarding, salary slips, de-boarding smooth.
You need to remove "that" prejudice for your HRs.
They take care of you and your requirements like a mother, and I expect that you go and appreciate them. Improving your relationship with your HR manager will help you boost your productivity because those who get along with others are the ones who succeed in life.
Despite all wrong you do to the HR, your HR always writes positive feedback to your potential employer because they want you to be the best.
Usually when one imagines an HR, many influencers have made the social perception as if the HR are the most evil person on the planet earth. Truth is no HR is good or bad, it’s you who will make your HR good or bad, if they hire it’s a part of their work profile and if they fire it’s also in the best interest of the other employees.
An interview process resembles speed dating and campus placement is a reflection of a mass marriage.
Understand that you have a single HR and your HR has a large number of employees under her or him.
It’s mind boggling for them to take care of 10, 100, 1000s of employees every work day and sometimes during their off as well.
You don’t choose your mother. Do you?
Yet she is your SuperWoman and the best mummy in the world. Sometimes you are agitated with her response to you and you do fight a lot with her yet you both get along with each other very well.
Well, let it be crystal clear HR’s are not God, neither they have super powers yet they do what best they can do for you. They are real people, if you think they are unreal please pinch your skin a bit and you will come into reality. So treat your HR as a human being with enormous abilities to change many lives forever.
Work Work Work
Work binds HR and employees into a relationship. If there is no work, there is no relationship or if you don’t work as desired you will end up killing the relationship.
Maybe you are on off on a Sunday but important client delivery pushes you to come back and if you are not flexible to this change and not available to work during you off, the relationship is ruptured. If you take care of your work, your HR will take care of you.
It’s Okay
It’s okay to make mistakes. It’s okay to lose a deal. It’s okay to have an unproductive day but be the first person to inform the HR that you messed up. Your HR won’t scream at you and it will strengthen the faith that you both have for each other.
It’s Wrong
It’s wrong to not appreciate, to not thank, to not motivate, to not celebrate the success and win of your HR. Always appreciate, motivate your HR for the help and support they provide.
Remember you cannot discredit your HR for a great hire.
