Nature Mirrors Life. Life Mirrors Art.
I’ve lived through a tornado, many earthquakes, a monsoon, blizzards, and unreal gorgeous days.?
I’ve had a shark circle me as I paddled my stand-up board miles offshore on the Pacific Ocean.
I’ve watched landslides while hiking in the mountains.
I find the force of nature absolutely exhilarating.?
This ever-changing world of ours is a mirror for us all.
This is life.?
What we know, and can be hard to accept, is that change is inevitable.
You see, we are not created to stay the same.
We shake. We explode. We shift internally. We transform, and we let loose. We can’t always anticipate when this will happen.?
In our life, we experience so much happiness and sorrow. So many celebrations and challenges. One cannot be held without the other.?
This is, as I see it, a form of art. This is creation. This is living.?
The seasons in nature are a metaphor for what happens in our lives. You cannot hold onto a season that is meant to end, because that is not the “natural way.”
Embrace it all. Feel it all. And let it go.
As we round out 2022 and step into 2023, I’d like you to remember this:
Always take care of what is eating you from the inside, or what’s eating you from the inside will manifest in unhealthy ways: through addiction, disease, illness, and unhealthy relationships.
Nature “does its thing” and cleanses in the way intended.
She releases her energy and clears what is needed in order to become her new natural state of beauty.?
Fires are necessary for new growth and to feed the earth. Tectonic plates shift, releasing energy to change the land. Tornadoes and monsoons shift the energy in the air and skies.
As humans, we need to clear what’s unhealthy, shift internal energy, and balance our natural state of being, as well.
Are you in a hard season?
Use this time to become a version of yourself. Remember: your most difficult challenges can become your greatest path to creation- not devastation.
It’s your choice.?
We all—every one of us—will walk through darkness. During our times of darkness, it’s important to remember that beyond that darkness there is light waiting for us to step in.

1 年I love the seasons analogy. Some seasons are more difficult than others. Different seasons serve different purposes. We plant. We nurture. We harvest. We prune. I had to go through some difficult fires and seasons in order to be the healthier version of me now. Never would have chosen the process, but I do like the results. Here's what I loved most about the post... your ending. Thanks for hearing, seeing, believing in, and loving people. It is an incredible gift you give to others, Sara Schulting Kranz!
