Are you happy about your job?
I asked the same to Google and I got some of the below which can help me know a closer answer but again not accurate.
Is that....
Having a sense of purpose?, Or feeling valued, Or the availability of wellness programs, Or Even feeling engaged, Or working in a collaborative environment, Or having flexibility, and being in positive workplace culture makes us happy ?
Again, here it goes, finding answers for the above led to new discoveries and sometimes even fall-outs ! Ha ha :)
So then, I decided to go on to figure out little things that makes you happy at work
1.Sociable colleagues and Doing tasks that have meaning for me
2. Constructive feedback and Smiling co-workers
3. Having a mentor and A good training program
4. Brainstorming sessions with Open-minded people around
In Short if we can have a Friendly working environment and Good things that set your mood !
We are happy at work and that makes workplace a happier one
Yeah maybe this pandemic makes us miss some of the Friendly work environment like Playing games (only on lunch breaks), Short breaks, Sweets shared with my colleagues (especially chocolate), Smart jokes and going out every Friday
But still things like
A clean desktop with a nice wallpaper, Nice tools to work with (pencils and stuff, a fast laptop or PC), A cozy chair, Learning day by day, Good coffee or amazingly tasty tea, Nice music, Flexible schedule/ hours can make it a friendly work environment.?
Stay Positive ! Think Positive ! Everything will turn Positive !?Happy Times are coming !

3 年Good catch on what usually we believe makes people happy like Travel, Flexi timings, etc.. Well thought out on having Socially approachable colleague, Healthy Feedforward comments, etc All these years - What I do - How I do - What VALUE I believe I bring in These alone have brought in the SATISFACTION which in turn brings in the real HAPPINESS.. More importantly, the DEFINITION of Happiness is very much personal.. The external factors like HR team or Employee Engagement team can only FACILITATE towards enabling it for the Employees.. No one CAN decide that so n so will for sure bring Happiness to their Employees.. So I believe it’s better to FOCUS on building the MINDSET of employees for their LONG TERM Happiness ??????
