TWEETABLES
Grounding assessments is probably one of two keystone skills that I see make the biggest difference and are yet one of the more mis-seen skills that we have.
Assessments are at the very core of our decisions and our actions and it’s something that we don’t see.
Assessments are windows into what people fundamentally care about.
I find it very hard to find any news that is separated from the assessments.
That’s what most of us do is we go into our organizations, or we go into an industry, or we go somewhere new and we wanna find out what’s so. We want to learn. So, you have to watch what you’re learning. When you simply take on and inherit others assessments, you're not doing the critical thinking around that.
Do it (grounding assessments) with genuine curiosity, not, ‘I gotcha!’ It’s gonna go way better for you if you’re genuinely curious about the assessment rather than, ‘I’m gonna find out where this doesn’t work.’
