Have you ever noticed how external stuff gets way more attention than the inside work?
I suspect it's because it’s easier to see and measure things like landing a new job or getting a qualification.
But imagine if we celebrated and talked more about the amazing inner work we do.
Like:
“Hey, I’m happy to announce that over the past two years, I’ve grown in self-compassion.”
Or
“I’m pleased to share I’ve stopped playing the blame game and take responsibility for my actions.”
Or
“I have applied for jobs the whole year and I will not give up until I get appointed, please join me in celebrating my resilience and determination.”

Wouldn't these be powerful statements??
I think our external focus is why we sometimes lose sight of our own greatness.
We focus so much on the external wins that we start comparing ourselves, doubting our abilities, and feeling like we’re not enough.
But the reality is, you’re worthy. Just because you’re human – no qualifying criteria. That's it!
?Don’t get me wrong, landing a new role or qualifying in something is awesome, it takes hard work, commitment and sacrifice to achieve these things.
However, when we shift focus to inner wins, it does more than just boost morale—it changes how we see success:
Self-worth is the foundation of everything – it’s the key to a happier more fulfilling life.
Please share your inner growth below, let’s celebrate our inner wins.

1 个月I do love this beautiful twist! It is really powerful ... It requires one to always be in the moment and not "wait" for those big external accomplishments! Thanks for this leader.

1 个月I am in awe ??, it honestly takes a lot to do the internal work yet less celebrated. I have personally experienced the power of inner joy and oh wow it is so liberating to first be your own cheerleader. Honestly we often lose self worth to what the world views worthy. Today my mantra is . I am doing great: Full stop ?? Thank you Maiyo Thank you ??

1 个月Warning ? : this comment is ridiculously long, but I just got carried away. Absolutely loved this article. Your words beautifully remind us to celebrate our inner growth. It's very easy to get caught up in external validation, but true self-worth stems from within. This resonates deeply, especially in today's fast-paced world. I am reminded of the lotus flower, growing in muddy waters yet blooming into breath-taking beauty. Similarly, our inner work may be unseen, but it's the foundation for outward success. Aristotle's concept of “eudaimonia”: flourishing through cultivating inner virtues – comes to mind. And Maya Angelou's words echo in my thoughts: “Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better.” Personally, I have learnt to reframe self-doubt as an opportunity for introspection and growth. It's a journey of embracing imperfection and redefining success, messy, nonlinear, and uncomfortable, yet oh-so-worth it. My inner win? Silencing my inner critic and trusting my instincts. What's yours? And your headline, ‘You Are Great. FULLSTOP,” is pure genius. I love how: - It boldly declares our inherent greatness, no strings attached.
