Are you grateful for the things you have in your life?
Life seems so good when things are going smooth. You are getting everything in life you ever expected. Your team is happy. The boss is happy. You have a happy family. And, everything is going on track.
Do you want your teams to be happier at work? Start using a project management tool!
But, then comes a day when things go a little off-track and you start to curse everything. You forget all the good things and start judging your life by just one bad day or one bad thing. Ever wondered why you feel so distressed with just one bad day. Whereas you are never thankful for the things that you have. Most of us don’t even tend to realize that we have so much to be thankful for in our day to day life.
So, in this post I am going to share some of those things you need to be thankful for and people responsible behind those things. I hope you can relate to what I’m going to say -
Yourself - the person behind everything
That’s you! No one knows your life better than yourself. If you are not thankful for being yourself then you are never going to get than inner peace. The biggest reason behind our dissatisfaction in life is because we are never at peace with our own self. We never thank our self for the achievements we make in our life.
But the reality is no one would have lived your life better than you. So, be thankful to yourself - the person who is responsible for everything!
Responsibilities - they made you who you are today
Every person has some responsibilities in life, because of which they do whatever they are doing. You may be doing it for your family, your parents, your lover, or yourself. And, you are doing it because you have a sense of responsibility towards that person. If you are lucky enough to work without any responsibilities, then it is great. But, seldom does it happen in the real world where we live!
That’s why - I am thankful to the responsibilities in my life that made me what I am today. Whatever I am today is because I had that responsibility on my shoulders. And, I am sure you should be too!
The problems - the reason why you have a job
A big reason why you have a job is because someone wants you to solve their problem. Whether you are a banker or an IT professional, you are doing a certain set of tasks to solve a problem. That makes those problems your best friend - isn’t it so?
The ideal world would be where there are no problems. But, the harsh reality is - No problems, no job! And, I’m sure no one would want that. So, be thankful to the problems that create your job.
Your team - who is there to back you in everything
Team includes anyone who is there with you. It includes the people you work with at your office. Your family members who are there for you whenever you need them. Your friends who are there to share the good, the bad and the ugly phase of your life. In short, everyone who holds a place in your life is part of your team.
Have you ever thanked them for being there? Even I did not, until one day when I realized that without them my life would have been nothing. And, that’s when I felt grateful for them to be part of my story and my life!
Competition - that pushes to towards greatness
If you don’t have any competition, you will never push your limits. If you don’t have competition to beat you down, becoming the best at something will be of no meaning.
That’s the whole point behind have ranking systems in everything? Because we want people to strive for more. We want them to push towards greatness.
As they say, success tastes much sweeter when you’ve worked hard to earn it! So, should we not be thankful to those factors that push us towards going beyond our limits to achieve greatness? I think we should. And, hope that you will also agree to it.
So, now let me ask you - are you grateful for whatever you have in your life? I’m sure after reading this post you will, at least for once, think about the things I have mentioned here. And, if you do that even once my motive behind writing this post would be successful.
Here’s to a happy, blessed and contented life - Cheers!
