You Gotta Jump

This is Eric writing to you.

I was ready to quit. I didn’t think I could do this anymore. I didn’t know how I was going to provide for my family. I wanted my wife and sons to be proud of me. I felt like a failure. I was ready to go back to my 9-5 job. Humbled. Broken. Battered. Bruised. Frustrated. Finished. 

I thought going back to work was my only option. But, something kept ringing out at me: Eric, if this is just about money, you can make money running and operating your business. Dang.

That was a gut punch! Because it was true. See, I’d made some money, but based on my expectations and belief in myself, it wasn’t enough. So, I had to do something. Shoot, I had to do a few things.

I had to take my focus off of money. I had to focus on serving people. I had to remember that God called me to do what I’m doing now: Prophesying, Coaching, and Teaching. Because, those things were NOT in my plans prior to 2014. 

In 2014, I jumped from my full time job and career in the corporate world into what I’m doing in my business now. I had to let go of what I thought I wanted, and I had to jump and grab onto what God was calling me to do.

Let me ask you a question: do you need to jump? Before they get goin’ good, tell all those negative voices rising up in you to shut up. Because I know how they can be, let me rephrase: you need to jump. I don’t know what you need to jump into doing, but I know you need to jump into it. 

I jumped 7 years ago, and I’m still jumping into new things on a regular basis. There are things you know that you know that you know that you know, that God has gifted, created, and is calling you to do. But, if you don’t jump, they won’t happen. You gotta jump!

Listen. I’m sharing this Steve Harvey video with you to encourage you to jump. It has greatly encouraged me over the years, and reminded me of my purpose. You’ve got goals, and dreams, and the only way you’re going to achieve them is by jumping. You can’t wish your way to success. You can’t even pray your way to success. You’ve got to jump.
