HOW YOU EXPLAIN THE EVENTS MAKES A HUGE DIFFERENCE.

You got charged. You took advice of a Lawyer. The Lawyer told you that you did not need to attend court on your appearance notice given by the Police. What if your Lawyer didn't give you the court judgements or worse lost them. Do you have proof from the courts that they sent you to anger management? Do you have proof you attended an anger management course? Certain convictions are not deemed convictions by IRCC.

Your before the courts for a minor infraction and your Lawyer wants to earn more fees by delaying your case and having a second hearing? Getting the charges withdrawn at a second hearing of your case will delay IRCC approving your application. Obtaining a conviction with a conditional sentence where you go to a anger management course is a win for you. Conditional sentencs are not deemed convictions by IRCC
