The theme of rebirth is very apt for me right now. With a 20 month old granddaughter and another on the way, we cannot help but look forward to what our future generations will be dealing with.?
Apparently this year there will be 60 elections globally and no one should take the opportunity to vote flippantly. Many people have died for the right to have their say. Whilst I know that we don't always have great choices in our elections, we still need to make our voices heard by showing what we don't want. Ultimately, if you don't see who you want to vote for, perhaps now is the time to stand up for what you believe in. You won't be the only one.
At Collaboration Global we don't make decisions by committee - that is how the duck billed platypus came about ?? but we do ask those with the insight and experience to make a decision for the community. We like to consider ourselves a small online country and as such we are building systems that include equality, inclusion, connection and at our centre, love.
We won't always get it right, but as Arthur Schopenhaur tells us, each day is a new birth. We all get a do over every single day.?
What will you do tomorrow that makes you a better person than you were today? It really doesn't take much. A hug, a smile, a kind word or?deed can make a mountain of difference to a stranger or a friend. Being part of a community we discuss and create the guidelines for being together. A bit like in life, we all need some guidance, even if we don't agree with the rules all the time.

It will be a very small minority who will answer that question no if any at all.
When our guest speaker from last month's session, Harald Walter Azmann shared his experience, it became very apparent from the conversations, that we had ALL suffered in one way or another from poor mental health. Either ourselves or someone close to us had been affected.?

During my journey of learning about collaboration, I discovered many philosophers, anthropologists and futurists who helped me to see that our world can be a better place. Sometimes it feels impossible to imagine a place where we support and encourage each other, instead of judge and dismiss in order to make ourselves appear better.
We are caught in a downward spiral, but there is a way out.
Buckminster Fuller (architect, engineer and futurist) believed that with a systems process we can take collective action. His words resonate with our community. I quote him in my Ted X?Talk, helping people to see that we are all involved with making our world a better place.?
