Getting seen means increasing your brand visibility in a way that makes you stand out from the crowd so that your ideal clients can become aware of you (brand awareness) so that they will buy from you.
Simply put...
You want more clients.
To have more clients, the people wanting your service have to know you exist.
But you don't want just anyone - you want ideal clients, your dream peeps - the people looking for and are ready for the transformation your service offers them because it makes it so much easier for you to deliver your service.
To attract your dream clients - you have to stand out from the 'other' businesses offering the same service you do.
How are you going to make this happen?
By making sure your visibility strategy includes the powerful ways I'm going to share with you today. Let's get started ramping up your brand visibility.
Being YOU - the Real, Authentic You
If you're doing what everyone else is doing, how are you going to stand out?
One of the quickest ways to improve your visibility is to be YOU - in all your infinite glory. Yes, the brain monkeys and your inner critic may try to join the party by telling you that you aren't 'good enough or 'professional enough' as you, but trust me - YOU ARE.
So, stop doing the things you think you have to do when building your business. You don't. And STOP hiding your quirks, personality, and the things that make you unique from everyone else because you're afraid of what people will think. After all, copies don't stand out but you being you and showing the world what makes you special is what does it.
I'm an awesome example of all this. Real me is strong, caring, opinionated, mostly happy-go-lucky, passionate about life and things I like, and unafraid to challenge people. I'm also known to drop a curse word or two. But I spent most of my life censoring myself because it angered the people around me. As a result, I spent years keeping myself hidden away in a box - until I walked away.
Today, I'm me (WYSIWYG). Do I offend some people? Yes, definitely. But I've come to realize; I don't really care because the people I offend aren't MY peeps. As a result of making that decision today, I'm surrounded by AMAZING people.
It's all about self-selection. People who judge you for being you in all your authentic glory are the people you don't want around you. They suck the life out of you. Stop trying to be a people-pleaser. The people who respond positively to you ARE your type of peeps. Using self-selection to your advantage means you don't put energy into trying to convince people to work with you or taking on clients from hell.
Your people need YOU because of your experiences, journey, and training, all of which make it possible for you to help them. Not someone else, YOU. Which is why when you drop all the bullshit and be yourself, you'll start attracting the right people - your ideal clients. Plus, you can use all that energy you put into not focusing on achieving your goals and dreams.
So, drop the pretense. Stop trying to be something you're not. And just be you.
Getting Consistent
It takes at least '5-7 brand interactions before a consumer remembers a brand,' quite a bit more before they buy, which why getting consistent is so freaking important for your visibility strategy. And that doesn't mean just with your content plan. Consistency is so much MORE than showing up to post a piece of content every day.
Getting consistent means getting focused. It means making decisions and committing to a course of action (a plan), then doing it. It's presenting the world with the same you - in your voice, message, branding, offer, way you do business, content, engagement, look, feel, how you deliver - literally anything and everything that has to do with how you show up.
Getting consistent also means niching or narrowing your options. Niching can feel a little scary because it means you're saying no to a wider group of people or a service you offer. BUT niching simply means you decided on who you want to work with, the type of service you're going to offer, and how you're going to do it.
Think of it a little like most Chinese restaurants' menus. Most offer 100 or more dishes to choose from. I know it can sometimes take me more than 15 minutes to pick something or go back to my standby dish just because I get stressed from trying to choose. It's the same for you.
Having too many options for both yourself or your clients is not only stressful and confusing, but it makes it hard to make a decision. Many people will quit rather than staying stressed, not what you want your potential clients to do. So, narrow your options to your zone of genius and dump the rest so that you become focused and consistent, getting you seen quickly and easily.
Using Deliberate Action
Once you've decided on how you're going to show up and get seen, you need to take deliberate action to make it all happen. Having a scatterbrained approach just slows you down and slows down your visibilty (or keeps you entertaining crickets). It all comes down to commitment once again.
Yes, you want the freedom to show up in your business when you want to, BUT having some structure is healthy for both you and your business, mainly because it reduces stress. And don't know about you, but anything that reduces stress and makes my life easier is a complete WIN in my book. That is exactly what having a focused brand visibilty strategy created based on your decisions and the course of action you decided on does.
You now KNOW exactly what deliberate actions to take to make your goals and dreams happen. Having a plan is comforting and helps you feel more confident because you KNOW what you're doing, which also leads to more sales because you're confidently taking ACTION. Confidence feeds on positive action, and clients love a confident person to help them.
So, make the plan, take action, and see what a difference it makes to your brand visibility because you're showing up regularly, posting the 'right' content for you, and engaging with the 'right' people to build a strong community of people with high know, like, trust factor in YOU.
Are You Ready to Get Started Ramping Up Your Brand Visibility?
And there you have it - three powerful ways to ramp up your brand visibility so that you stand out from the crowd and get seen by your ideal clients. Start by getting real and authentic in whatever way that looks for you on everything you do so that you can build trust. Trust me, you get to choose how that looks but copying others doesn't help you stand out. Be you.
Next, you're going to get focused and consistent in everything you do - no one likes a flake - because you're going to decide how you want to show up. And finally, you're going to reduce your and raise your confidence because you KNOW exactly what actions you're going to be taking because you are committed to a plan and course of action.
All of this is going to increase your brand visibility, helping you stand out from the crowd so that you get in front of your ideal clients quicker and easier while spending less time on your sales and marketing. Sound good?
