As you get older you learn two important things. What you’re good at, and what you enjoy. And if you’re very lucky, those two will be the same thing.

As we grow older, we often hear the saying, "find what you're good at and what you enjoy." It's a simple concept, but one that can be incredibly challenging to put into practice.
It's not always easy to identify our strengths or passions, and even harder to find the intersection between the two. However, when we do find that?sweet spot, it can lead to a fulfilling and rewarding life.
For many of us, the journey to finding our strengths and passions can be a long and winding road. We may try various hobbies, jobs, or activities, searching for that sense of purpose and fulfillment. We may face setbacks and challenges, and even begin to doubt if we'll ever find what we're looking for.
But the key to success lies in?perseverance and self-reflection. It's important to take the time to reflect on our experiences and what we've learned from them. Ask yourself,?"What do I enjoy doing? What am I naturally good at? What are my values and priorities?"?The answers may not come overnight, but over time, patterns will emerge, and a clearer picture of our strengths and passions will start to take shape.
It's also important to remember that our strengths and passions may change over time. What we enjoyed doing in our 20s may no longer fulfill us in our 30s or beyond. Life experiences, new challenges, and personal growth can all shift our priorities and passions.?It's okay to reassess and pivot when necessary.

The idea that our strengths and passions should align is not a new one. In fact, it's a concept that has been studied extensively by psychologists and career advisors. When we are doing work that aligns with our strengths and passions, we are more likely to experience a?sense of flow?- that state of being completely absorbed in an activity, where time seems to fly by. This is where we can do our best work, be most productive, and find the most satisfaction.
But what if you haven't found that intersection between your strengths and passions?
It's important to remember that this is a journey, and not a destination. It's okay to try new things, take risks, and explore different opportunities. Sometimes, it's through failure that we learn the most about ourselves and what we truly want.
Finding what you're good at and what you enjoy can be a?lifelong pursuit.?It requires self-reflection, perseverance, and an open mind. But when we do find that intersection, it can lead to a fulfilling and rewarding life.
So, keep exploring, keep growing, and?don't be afraid to take risks.?Who knows where the journey may take you?
