Summer is here at last and we have great news to share, a couple of client wins in the world of sustainability; we give you some pointers on cyber claims to be aware of; and the latest on how much Graeme Souness has raised for DEBRA. And your chance to meet him.
But our big news to share is that we welcomed a new member to the team this month - Nusaybah Sameja. Nusaybah comes to us with a wealth of experience and she has already hit the ground running. We will introduce you to her properly next month.
Meanwhile Gardens
We were so happy with the result we achieved for this charity, an urban garden oasis when they suffered costly damage to a gate out of the blue and through no fault of their own. Here's a link to find out more.
Not only did our Lisa get their claim paid, she also ensured that premiums didn't increase going forward.
Glastonbury
A whopping 9,700 plastic bottles were saved from the ocean/landfill. Our client, Chilly's bottles, were at Glastonbury for the 2nd year running as the Official Re-usable Bottle Supplier, supplying sustainable bottles, that are not only eco friendly but look fantastic. It's not just their products that are sustainable, Chilly's are B-Corp certified too. Well done Chilly's.
Cyber War
There’s an update of the exclusion of war in Cyber Insurance policies. They now exclude Cyber War as well as all other types of war.
There’s nothing that can be done to change this. It’s a risk the insurance regulators have made them review because they cannot afford to pay for a cyber war, yikes!
In essence they will only cover a Nation State attack if it is directed at another country (i.e. not the UK) yet still affects UK Plc clients. There’s a lot of geo-politics to consider, call us if you are unsure if, or how, a cyber attack could affect your business.

Swimming the Channel
You might remember from our June newsletter that Graeme Souness was swimming the channel to raise funds for DEBRA which supports those living with a debilitating skin condition.
Graeme has raised an astonishing amount, and they are still counting! Massive congratulations to Graeme.
