Here are 16 not-very-common foods in the US. If you've eaten at least 9 of them twice, you would qualify as an adventurous eater ("food neophile" or "foodie") in our most recent research.
[] Kale
[] Seitan
[] Quinoa
[] Seaweed
[] Bean sprouts
[] Beef Tongue
[] Eel
[] Quail eggs
[] Rabbit

There's lots of good news if you're a foodie . . . healthier, skinnier, more "entertaining," and so on.

8 年16/16! Guess I'm a foodie (though in SF folks are ~so~ foodie that it's kind of grown to be uncool to identify as being one. #stealthfoodie.) I read in your link that it was women who were the study participants; any thoughts or known studies on whether men show significant results? Six of these items seem to be pretty buzzy ingredients among health-conscious folk (kale, seitain, quinoa, tempeh, kimchi, seaweed), so I can see why adventurous eaters might also have healthier diet/exercise habits. I could also see economic privilege at play; quail eggs and oysters are very "chefy" foods and most places that serve them have a hefty price-tag.

9 年I was off by 2. Seems this test makes it VERY hard for veggies to be foodies. Yet, there are so many vegetarian foodies out there (well at least in places like the Bay Area, LA and Seattle where there are eating places that cater to veggie foodies). I vote you add more veggie options to this list. Perhaps some exotic fruit? (happy to suggest some) : )
