The Simple rules to follow while meeting your client.

IN SALES, FOLLOW BELOW STEPS WHEN YOU ARE MEETING WITH YOUR CLIENTS FOR FIRST TIME.

Knowingly or unknowingly we all want to be lead by some one more powerful than us, some one with more influence than us. This is hardwired in our brain that when we are shown the right way (which we feel suitable for us in our current situation) we immediately fall in love with the thought of that person.

When we see the situation, scenarios from other person's point of view, we must try to feel in the way they feel. This is peak point of Empathy which is abandoning your self interest in favor of other person's interests.

Now coming to main point when we apply this principals in business, and particularly in Sales. As per my thinking and experience, if you want to succeed in SALES, We can follow below mentioned steps when meeting with the clients for the first time.

 1) Understand your client, 

 2) Listen their view points patiently related to your products and service....

3) What are the problems they are facing currently related to your products and service

4) How much impact they are having in their business due to this problems...

5) Pause here, Look into your products and services check whether your offerings can bridge the gap into client's problems., can your offering relieve the pain they are facing 

6) Are your clients ready to solve their problems or they just want to be informed about your solutions.

7) What investment they are ready to make, (means are they ready to buy your product or services,

8) After going with your products and services how they are going to be benefited in business.?? (show them the values)

If you follow above steps, you are trying to project yourself as 1) Trusted Advisor in your field 2) Authority who is ready to understand the real needs of their client 3) Value provider with tailor made solution to unique needs of each and every client.
