Are you fighting for survival in Real Estate?
I understand exactly what you are going through. Nobody suggests this is going to be easy. It might be time to put your gloves on and get to work.
The main issue that agents face is how they are going to get their leads to put food on the table. We all have made substantial commitments in our futures by obtaining licensing and going through the entire process. It sure has not been easy but we can make it worthwhile.
We have to be willing to change and adjust to be successful in Real Estate. Technology can be your friend or it can be your enemy. I think that we are going to have to surrender to paying for our leads more and more as the larger companies continue to dominate the entire search market. Since most people who are buying or selling simply pull out their cell phones and search on google, we have to decide how to benefit from their searches. The answer is to invest in your leads.
I know that all of us want to generate free leads, however, it is less and less likely that will work. If you have a nice budget and you can set up a google campaign yourself you can still win. The most common question I get from other agents is "How can i get free or cheap leads?"
It is important to analyze your lead effectiveness on a daily and weekly basis. Make sure that you leave all options open and be weary of cold calling agents desperate to get your lead business. Scrutinize every dollar spent and make sure that you are turning a profit.
My former business partner used to say "It's leads, leads, and people." The emphasis is on the leads. It is what it is. You are now in Real Estate and it is time to fight. I am not so sure about knocking on doors and all that because you may not actually get out there and perform.
I also recommend setting up an investor program where all persons you are associated with are on the lookout for undervalued properties. The best way to make money in Real Estate is to find a single family home in disrepair, fix it up, and sell it.
