Now a #Microsoft division, #LinkedIn has rolled out silent changes that I will continue to share with you, just to stay ahead of the curve.
Let's mute that chatter!
Here's the easy fix: adjacent to your LinkedIn photo icon located in the far right top menu bar, you adjust your preferences and voila, you're done.
You can manage these updates directly from the Notifications tab to determine which types of notifications you'd like to receive, shown above.
Here are your options (4)
- Mute a notification - stop receiving updates on a particular post on your feed; you may also disable future updates on that thread.
- Delete a notification - removes the notification from your notifications tab.
- Unfollow a notification - stop receiving updates from that connection including likes on updates, work anniversaries, job changes. Consider the connection and their relative importance to your network's feed. You can always turn it back on, if you'd like.
- Turn off notifications completely - Stop receiving a certain type of notification, such as likes or job changes or work anniversaries, from the people you're following.
Note: You may not see all of these options depending on the type of notification you're managing. For example, muting a notification is only available for posts on your feed.

5 个月I had to go through 30 plus settings to switch off notifications, as LinkedIn is generating an amount of debris. This is what I would call a dark pattern. Isn't there any simple way to, let's say, just switch off any e-mail notification with just one click? The large quantity of redundant e-mail notifications. I dont want an e-mail for a notification I allready got on the LinkedIn-plattform. Do I realy have to go through 30 settings?
