Are you experiencing "learned helplessness"?
What is Learned helplessness?
It is a psychological state that develops after a person has repeatedly encountered a stressful situation. They start to feel powerless to influence or alter the circumstance. A person having this experience loses motivation and is frequently less able to make decisions once they realise they have no influence over the events taking place around them.
Even when a chance to improve their situation presents itself, they choose not to take it. This state makes it harder for a person to deal with stressful situations and raises their chance of developing mental health issues like depression and anxiety, which have a direct impact on their capacity to function at work and in social and psychological settings.
