Are you an emotional salesperson ?

As a gardener when you sow a seed, you water it each day, add manure and ensure that the plant is exposed to sunlight each day, so that one day you’ll see a little bud smile at you. Imagine you are doing all the right things and then one day, when the flower is about to peep as a bud, something unexpected happens and the result is not as per your wishes/plans. You feel sad for a day (or two sometimes) and move forward to start the next day with a new flowerpot doing exactly the same things again hoping for a better result than last time. And that’s the life of a salesperson. #HOPE

Yes, we go get a little upset ( or more sometimes ) when a deal doesn’t works out as per the plan or the timelines get delayed, but that doesn’t dampen the spirit, it’s this inherent strength of getting up after taking a blow and starting the next day with a cold call ( despite the no response or repeated rejections ) that keeps us going and helps us to shine among the crowd. #PERSISTENCE

I am sure you have said or heard these words “ Don’t be emotional about this, it’s just a deal “, truth be told, it’s OKAY to be emotional about the deals you have planted and worked on, it’s OKAY to be upset when things don’t work-out your way and it’s OKAY to let your steam out in the gym and shop in the mall , if it helps you to calm your nerves and recover from this situation faster. #EMOTIONS

In fact, having an emotional salesperson is a boon in your team, only people who are passionate about what they are doing, are emotional about it. As Human beings it’s part of our nature to be emotional and that’s what separates us from the trees, we can express what we feel and move from our situation to another with our own efforts. #PASSION

Let’s together appreciate the efforts of that customer feedback person who keeps calling you despite your constant busy schedule excuses to value your feedback and earn for his own college fees. #APPRECIATE
