Duet AI: Your accessible artificial intelligence tool

In March 2023, Google announced that they would be testing out their generative AI solution to a select few users, before a widespread rollout that’s set to come to all Workspace users shortly.?

In what Google is describing as a ‘new era’ for Workspace, the technology – known as Duet AI – integrates seamlessly with a number of Workspace applications. These include Gmail, Docs, and more. The overall purpose of Duet AI is to ‘learn’ about the needs of businesses – as well as individual users – by identifying patterns and trends in how they work. The technology then leverages these insights to mimic user behaviours. This enables it to take over some of the more low-level, time-consuming tasks that prevent employees from working productively, and to the very best of their ability.?

Here’s a sneak peek at what’s to come…

Automatic email generation

Working within Gmail, Duet AI promises to be able to create and respond to emails automatically as needed. It will also be able to summarise incoming emails to provide a quick snapshot of content.?

AI content creation

Whatever you need to write up in Google Docs, let Duet AI do it for you. Google states that the tech is able to write, rewrite, and proofread… and it can even brainstorm ideas if you’ve got writer’s block.?

Unique images, audio & video

Struggling to make your Google Slides presentations as engaging and appealing as they could be? Duet AI automatically generates images, audio, and videos based on your prompts and inputs.?

Data analysis

If you’re storing data in Google Sheets, but you’re not sure what to do with it, Duet AI can help. The software analyses Sheets data to identify trends and provide valuable, actionable insights.?

Communication

For employees communicating using Google Meet, Duet AI will be able to generate unique new backgrounds. These will be instrumental in helping users connect and collaborate with confidence.?
