Are you drowning in recipes?

Are you drowning in recipes?

Are you looking for the perfect recipe? That holy grail of a recipe that's easy, foolproof, delicious and quick to make?

It seems most of us are. And everybody out there is trying hard to provide us with just that: Recipes are everywhere these days - have you noticed?

They are on TV, on Instagram, in your meal kit and in your veg box, published by the book-load by chefs and restaurants, and there are more in every magazine and supermarket leaflet, and even on the back of the pack of something or other you just bought.

We are drowning in recipes, yet we are cooking less and less... and when we do, we often feel more uninspired than ever. What is going on?

Here's the thing... more or better recipes are not solving the problem of feeling stuck in the kitchen. It’s not about the recipes.

In fact, I'm convinced that the recipe overkill is creating the problem. As that proverb goes...

Give someone a fish and you feed them for a day. Teach someone to fish and you feed them for a lifetime.

Following a recipe will give you a meal. As perfect looking as the photo that goes with it (you hope).

Understanding the concept behind the recipe will give you a lifetime of ever adaptable versions that never get boring.

If you are looking for a better way of cooking that goes beyond following instructions I'd love to show you how to transform your cooking from the inside out: How to tap into your very own intuitive sense for nourishment and change the way you think about meal times.

I condensed these principles into a workshop to share my method: one that gets me cooking day after day with a minimum of fuss (or planning) and a maximum of taste, no recipes required.

I have tested the workshop in a few different settings, run it live a few times, and reworked it and refined it to make it even better. And it's about time I offered some live sessions again!

All it will take is 90 mins of your time - happening live on zoom next week. The pricing is set to my silly - less than the cost of a take out dinner. Check it out here.

Are you up for it? Let me know in the comments.
