YOU DON'T NEED IT, BUT YOU MIGHT WANT IT.
Every day we're all assaulted with offers online for various goods and services. I decided to compile the most common refutations I see, whether they are explicitly or merely the undercurrent of the conversation.
I think it's super important to recognize the reasons to do something as well as the reasons not to decide to do something. So here are some legitimate and not-so-legitimate "facts" about deciding to get healthier and more sound in mind and body.
- You’re an adult.
- You have free will.
- Losing fat is relatively simple.
- Getting strong is just a series of actions conducted repeatedly over a long period of time.
- Your life is probably 80-90% perfect already.
- The majority of people live lives of quiet desperation.
- Meditation probably won’t result in you becoming enlightened.
- The partner you want to attract doesn’t actually care if you have abs.
- No one really knows what they’re doing so it’s easy to blend in.
- Maybe it’ll work out without you taking an active role.
- Planning isn’t a perfect science so you probably shouldn’t bother anyway.
- You can just take a supplement… there will be side effects and a greater than placebo level chance it won’t work at all anyway...but you can still take it.
- A boost in daily energy is only worth it if you’ll actually take advantage of it.
There ya go, 13 reasons why you don’t need a program like the Composure Fitness Academy.
I’m not selling a cure, I’m offering a lifestyle change. A change that will require effort and input on your part. A change that will challenge the way you eat, view food, use your body, and train your mind.
If everything in your life is all hunky-dory then stay the path.
However, if there’s even one part of you that wants to have more, that wants to experience life differently, or that isn’t 100% content then you owe it to yourself to change.
You cannot wait for the world to change around you. Even in our current environment that’s rife with change, you can’t expect it to change in a way that will make your life less problematic. Historical periods of large change are notorious for just adding more complications to life not simplifying things for the individual; more ways to communicate, more complicated tax laws, more ways to travel, fewer restrictions, and larger opportunities to not take advantage of.
You have to change. Like it or not you change a little every day. Those who don’t choose to change consciously are usually dismayed by their lack of progress when they finally realize how far they’ve slid in a less than admirable direction.
So, if you already have a plan or already have your shit nicely packed together then you have nothing to work for.
Just be honest with yourself when you address that previous statement. Ask if your immediate reaction is a self-protective feature of your current personality and lifestyle or the no-kidding truth.
If none of those seem that convincing to you, you should send me a message so we can talk further about getting you into the prime of your life, regardless of your age.
