If you don't need it, good deed it. GIVE400.SCOT

We are all aware of the awful impact that the unexpected cost of living increases are having on those who are struggling this autumn/winter in Scotland.?To help alleviate some of this, I am pleased to tell you about an initiative to provide necessary cash and support to those who need it most.

This winter the UK Government’s Energy Bills Support Scheme will give £400 support with energy bills to every household, regardless of need. There will be people all across Scotland who do not need these funds and who want to do more to help those who do need the support. GIVE400.SCOT are working with the Corra Foundation to raise donations of an equivalent amount to this £400 (or more or less depending on circumstances) in recognition of the fact that many who are receiving the Government’s £400 don’t need it but would like to do more to help those that do.?

Corra are working on the basis that every £1 raised will be £1 going directly to struggling families, communities and charities that support them – they know where they are as a result of other work they have undertaken and especially at the peak of the Covid lockdowns when they provided some support to them.?

Here is a link to the campaign website – https://www.give400.scot - please take a look at this and help if you can.

Alternatively, for your money to reach low-income households directly, please donate to the?Corra Household Hardship Fund?which gives small grants to charities and community groups all across Scotland. They will then pass these on to families and individuals on low incomes as cash or vouchers directly, to meet pressing needs such as food, fuel, household items or clothing. Every penny will benefit someone who really needs it.??
