If you don't miss it, don't watch it.
I have found that when I travel, I watch much less television than when I am in my regular work/home routine. Particularly local news. As a result, I have greatly decreased the amount of television I watch. Instead of listening to the news as I make dinner, now the radio is on. I might be getting close to canceling my traditional cable subscription and just keeping a monthly unlimited subscription channel.
I realized if I don't miss, why watch it? I can get my news from Twitter or other Web-based sources. I am tired of being a consumer of mass commercialism.
It is different not turning on the TV immediately when I walk in the door. I think Paula appreciates it too.
If you don't miss it, don't watch it.
